Fly posting (fixing of unauthorised commercial signs to street furniture and buildings without the permission of the owner) over the last few months has been on the increase in the Baildon Area, this not just unsightly but is also illegal and is contrary to the provisions of the Regulations (Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) Regulations 1992. The vast majority in the village centre have now been removed and I will be dealing with other incidents in the area over the next few weeks. If I can trace who posted the signs then they will be warned that if this continues leagal action maybe taken. If anyone sees any commercial signs on street furniture then please contact me and I will arrange for them to be removed.
