Baildon Parish Council Logo Competition Results.

BPC Logo

Soon after the Baildon Parish Council came into being it was realised that some sort of identifying logo would be needed. In the past Baildon Urban District Council had an official Coat of Arms that can still be seen on the Ian Clough Hall.

It was decided to invite the local schools to produce something and prizes would be awarded for the best submissions. Councillor Joanne Crowther volunteered to contact the schools and co-ordinate the competition.

The logo incorporating the winning artwork is shown here after being processed by Ilkley Print of Dockfield Lane, Shipley.

The winning entry was taken to Illkley Print and incorporated with some text. This logo will be used on the Baildon Parish Council correspondence and can be seen at the top left of the web site.

Emily Rhodes Overall Winner

The winning entry was created by Emily Rhodes of Hoyle Court. She is photographed here with her gift voucher.

The summer holidays meant that it took longer than hoped but at the December Baildon Parish Council meeting the winning entries were chosen.

Councillors Alan Smith, Renee Lancaster, Roger L'Amie and the Clerk, Ruth Batterley, attended assemblies at the schools and the prizes were presented to the winners by Councillor Roger L'Amie. The photos were taken by Councillor Smith and parents kindly gave their permission for the photos to appear on the website.

Those involved were from Hoyle Court and Sandal's Primary schools.
