At the August meeting of the Baildon Parish Council it was agreed to support the Shipley Glen Tramway with £5,000.
The Shipley Glen Tramway is an important historic landmark in Baildon and is in need of financial support to make essential improvements. The money from the Parish Council will go directly to paying for work on the wheel-head and braking system.Also support from the Baildon Parish Council shows that we value the work done by the Trustees and volunteers and wish the Tramway to continue. Funding from the Parish Council shows that the trustees have our support and will be invaluable in swaying others to commit money to the Tramway.
