The Parish Council resolved at its January meeting to:
- Keep the precept at the same level as previous years. The precept will be set at £7.50 per Band D equivilant household. The precept is the tax that District Councils raise on behalf of Parish Councils. The money is then paid to the Parish Council at the start of the new financial year. The tax is collected by the District Council.
- Agreed in principle to fund a picnic area at Shipley Glen. Some funds have been committed to detailed investigation of the scheme. More information will be made available in due course.
Additionally the Parish Council handbook has now been printed and each household will be receiving a hand delivered copy of the book over the next few weeks.
