The Parish Councill meeting held on 12th October included decisions and information on the following:
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
An update was received on the Parish Council funded Christmas lights. The switch on will be 2nd December 2009 between 6:00pm - 9:00pm. There will be craft stalls and Santa and his elves will be making an appearance. This is an event for your diary!
GARDEN SHARE SCHEME
The Parish Council is running a garden share scheme for people who have gardens that they would like help with managing and gardeners who would like somewhere to garden. The aim of the scheme is to match up garden owners with potential gardeners. If you decide to get involved with the scheme as as a garden holder or gardener you will need to complete a CRB check. The Parish Council will be funding the CRB checks for the first year of the Garden Share scheme.

CULTIVATION COMMITTEE
The Parish Council has set up a Cultivation Committee. The Committee will deal with the Parish Councill allotments, the Garden Share Scheme and other items may be added to its work in the future. The Cultivation Committee's next meeting is to be held on Wednesday 11/11/09 at 9:30am and will be held at Baildon Link on Cliffe Avenue.
HANDBOOK
The Parish Council is producing a new community handbook giving information about local clubs and activities. Each household will receive its own copy and the book could possibly be kept by the telephone or computer as it is a handy reference guide of what is available locally. The Parish Council would like to thank local firms and groups who have advertised in the book, without whose support the book could not have been produced.
