This website will be used to host various on-line surveys so the Parish Council can get information to help them plan their agendas and actions. Click on the links/titles below to be taken to that survey, it will open in a new window. A brief description follows each title - though at the moment there is only one survey.

Bus/Train Survey (Feb 2008)

Increasing the use of public transport, reducing the number of cars on the road and improving traffic flows through Baildon will have many benefits - environmental, social and economic. This on-line survey forms part of the on-going collection of information and suggestions by the Parish Council on this subject. Please have a look at the survey here. It will only take a few minutes to complete. The last section allows you to record any comment you like on the subject.

Baildon Parish Council has many ideas about things to do for the benefit of Baildon but it is essential that they are prioritised responsibly and in line with the wishes of Baildon residents and businesses. The actions of the Council will be to the benefit of Baildon but must take into account environmental issues and be sustainable.

The Council will be using various methods to get information from the public to help them determine their actions and long-term plans.

  • The simplest is the open session at the beginning of all the Council meetings where people attending the meeting are free to speak on any subject.
  • The Clerk to the Council can be contacted. You will find details in the Contact section of the website.
  • Contact details for each Councillor are also available on the website here.
  • At least one Parish Councillor will attend the Baildon Neighbourhood Forum meetings to give updates where needed and will listen to comments.
  • The discussion board on the Baildon Village website here can be used. Several Parish Councillors make use of the discussion board and anything related to the Parish Council will be passed on.
  • Surveys on this website.
In due course the Parish Council will be putting a lot of time and effort into producing a Parish Plan that will guide the Council through the short, medium and long term. Any proposed action of the Council will be measured against the plan. The plan will have tremendous importance to the long-term sustainable future of Baildon and will be managed with suitable care.
